Terms of Service

Last updated: Not yet effective — draft

These Terms govern access to and use of the transmute conversion API and dashboard (the “Service”), operated by 403 Finance, Inc. (“403 Finance, Inc.”, “we”, “us”). The Service is offered business-to-business; it is not intended for consumers. TODO-confirmdefinitive language pending counsel review.

1. The Service

transmute converts SWIFT MT messages to and from ISO 20022 (MX), normalizes either format into a canonical JSON shape, validates messages, and provides related enrichment, batch and connector features via an HTTP API and a customer dashboard.

2. Accounts & API keys

  • Access requires an account and an API key. You are responsible for keeping keys confidential.
  • Keys are shown once at creation and stored only as SHA-256 hashes; you can revoke keys at any time.
  • You must not share keys, exceed your plan's rate limits by circumvention, or probe the Service for vulnerabilities without authorization.

3. Plans, quotas & billing

  • Usage is metered per billable convert / normalize / validate call ("conversion").
  • The Free tier hard-stops at its monthly cap; paid plans meter overage beyond the included volume.
  • Paid subscriptions and metered overage are billed through our payment processor. Prices are as published at purchase. TODO-confirm price and billing-cycle terms.

4. Acceptable use

You must have the right to process any data you submit, and must not use the Service unlawfully or to infringe third-party rights. You are the controller of the message content you submit; see the Privacy Policy.

5. Data & statelessness

Message contents are processed in request-scoped memory and are not persisted or logged, except the two sanctioned, time-bounded, encrypted exceptions described in the Security page (idempotency cache; async batch store, TTL ≤ 24h). We retain only usage/audit metadata.

6. Warranties & disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is". Conversions surface lossy or assumed steps as structured warnings; you are responsible for reviewing outputs before use in production financial processing. TODO-confirmwarranty and limitation-of-liability language.

7. Limitation of liability

TODO-confirm — liability cap and exclusions pending counsel review.

8. Term & termination

Either party may terminate per the plan terms. On termination we delete tenant configuration and credentials; usage/audit metadata is retained only as billing/audit interest and statutory periods require.

9. Trademarks

'SWIFT' is a trademark of S.W.I.F.T. SCRL. transmute converts SWIFT MT messages; it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or certified by SWIFT.
